1. About Lightform
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Lightform website and purchases made from our online store. Lightform is an online retail business operated from South Africa. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or place an order.
2. Eligibility and acceptable use
You must be at least 18 years old, or use the website with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose, attempt to interfere with its operation, or copy or exploit its content without permission.
3. Products and information
We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, specifications, availability and images accurately. Colours and appearance may vary slightly because of screens, lighting, production batches or packaging updates. Measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise.
Our beauty and wellness devices are intended for general cosmetic or personal-care use unless expressly stated otherwise. They are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Read and follow all supplied instructions and safety warnings before use. Results vary between individuals. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are photosensitive, use photosensitising medication, or are unsure whether a device is suitable for you, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices, promotions and availability may change without notice. The amount shown at checkout is the amount payable for the order, including any shipping charges or taxes that the checkout identifies. Where another currency is displayed for convenience, it may be an estimate. The final transaction may be processed in South African rand (ZAR), and your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate or international transaction fee.
Payment must be authorised before an order is accepted for fulfilment. We use third-party payment providers and do not store full card details on our website.
5. Order acceptance and cancellation
An order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order; it does not guarantee acceptance. We may contact you for additional verification or cancel and refund an order where an item is unavailable, cannot be delivered, is incorrectly priced, appears fraudulent, or contains incorrect information.
Contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel an order. We will try to assist, but changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed once fulfilment has begun or the order has shipped. Customised or specially sourced goods may not be cancellable after processing starts.
6. Fulfilment and delivery
Lightform works with third-party fulfilment partners, including EPORLO, and products may be dispatched from fulfilment centres in China, the United States or another stated location. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Separate items may arrive in different packages.
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for being available to receive or collect the package. Import duties, VAT, customs charges or carrier fees are the customer’s responsibility unless the checkout expressly states that they are included. Full details appear in our Shipping Policy.
7. Returns, refunds and faulty products
Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Please contact us before sending anything back. Do not return a product to the address printed on the parcel unless Lightform has authorised that address in writing.
8. Intellectual property
The Lightform name, branding, website design, photographs, graphics, text and other original content belong to Lightform or are used under licence. You may browse the website and download order-related information for personal use, but may not reproduce, sell, distribute or commercially exploit our content without written permission.
9. Reviews and submitted content
If you submit a review, photograph or other content, you confirm that it is truthful, lawful and that you have the right to share it. You grant Lightform a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content in connection with the store and its marketing. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading or unrelated.
10. Third-party services and links
Our store may use or link to third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers, couriers and fulfilment partners. Their services may be subject to their own terms. Lightform is not responsible for unrelated third-party websites or services, but remains responsible for its obligations to customers under applicable law.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lightform is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the website or products. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, or any non-waivable rights under applicable consumer-protection law.
12. Privacy
We process personal information to operate the store, fulfil orders, provide customer service, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the website at the time of your order will apply to that transaction unless a change is required by law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without depriving customers in other countries of mandatory consumer rights that apply to them. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute in good faith through customer support.
